As you know, our L.L. turned two at the beginning of the month. Luckily we were able to have an enjoyable afternoon at Stone Farms to celebrate the milestone. Not only was it on her actual birthday, but the weather was perfect and everyone had a lovely time – both kiddos and adults!
If you weren’t aware, Stone Farms is a part of the Stone Brewery Company. So, when we sent out the invitation we received many quips from out of town family who were thinking it was just a brewery. I’m sure you can imagine the gems we heard about that. Little did they know, it’s an actual farm! Where they grown organic produce for the beer making and food for their restaurants. We first found out about The Farms from our local farmers market. Sadly, they had to stop selling there because there just isn’t enough to go around for everyone.
Since we were trying to keep it casual (and easy for me to plan) this was the perfect venue. No reservations needed, just show up and find a spot that is empty. I made party snacks friendly for kids and adults, along with some tasty desserts. Even made a cake for L.L. with her favorite character on it! I couldn’t have been happier with the outcome. Of course, there was also, plenty of Stone beer for anyone who wanted it. (A little perk for the Dads and non-pregnant folk. Even better, a part, I didn’t have to prepare – yay!) Not to mention the good times we got to share with some wonderful friends.
Here are some pictures, so you can feel like you were there, too:
I didn’t get any pics of all the farm animals, which seems odd considering we were right next to all the ducks! It happens, I can’t be everywhere. Plus, I’m pretty sure I took enough pics as it was.
So, thank you to everyone who came to celebrate with us. All the family that called, you were all there, in our hearts. L.L. thanks you all, too, for such a fun and lovely afternoon! HAPPY SECOND BIRTHDAY, MY SWEET GIRL!
I just told a friend about this fun celebration and all your yummy food. We really enjoyed ourselves. 🙂 Nice pictures!
