Mother’s Day 2014

Imagine this, I’m actually writing a blog post about Mother’s Day ON MOTHER’S DAY! Wonders never cease.

This year, I had a great Mother’s Day with my little family. The hubs had the bright idea to plan an outing to the Carlsbad Flower Fields, and I loved it! We got up at our normal time with our normal (bellowing) 2 year old to enjoy cinnamon rolls. Check ONE for the hubs. With that I got to enjoy my second cup of decaf coffee, to date, with this pregnancy. Check TWO for the hubs. Then we all got ready and headed for the fields.

It was beautiful. We took a ton a pictures, especially of me (I loved that, b/c I like to have choices of what to post on the blog). Gil said it was payback, but he knows I really love it and wish it was easier for me to take pictures of all of us together. Check THREE and FOUR for the hubs.

Then, I got to put together a bouquet of wildflowers for myself and they are lovely. Check FIVE for the hubs. Lastly, we went out to lunch at Karl Strauss, in Carlsbad. I got a burger that was so huge I couldn’t believe I polished it off all by myself. Check SIX for the hubs. I didn’t leave any space for dessert, but no matter – we have ice cream in the freezer for root beer floats later on. Check SEVEN for the hubs.

All in all it was a beautiful day, perfect weather, yummy food, amazing company and I totally feel loved. Not to mention the two heart felt cards that I received this morning. Check EIGHT for the hubs.
