Man-oh-man, the baby is getting so close to not being a baby anymore! Doesn’t feel real and I cannot imagine doing it again, but geez, thinking that our days of baby anything are behind us makes me nostalgic and excited. That, folks, is kinda what I’ve experienced parenting to be; a paradox.
Our little man is turning into such a boy. He’s moving fast and getting into everything! One day, Gil even said that he saw that glimmer of “uninhibited boy,” in his eyes as he wrangled around on the floor with a toy. We are completely in for it with this one. He’s already tall enough to swipe everything off of a side table, loves power strips and outlets and anything that hangs down. We knew we were lucky in having a teeny little one the first time around, and are learning right along with the second. He’s even too tall to stand under the table without bumping his head! Gil and I were talking about that and are pretty sure that L.L. was 18 months before she had to be careful of that one.
So, the boy got his top two front teeth last month. He’s also started the blubbering (raspberry) spitting, just like L.L. at his age. Plus, he’s pulling to stand on everything and starting to take his falls more gently. It’s almost like slow motion falling, I’m a much more relaxed Momma after seeing him catch onto this milestone. He’s got his top two teeth this month and has learned how to pick up little pieces of food and actually make it to his mouth. Lots of fun with so much change that happens way too fast.
Stats are hard to come by the past two months. I didn’t get a chance to measure him, but I did get to weigh him when we were at the pediatrician’s office for L.L: he’s 18 pounds 9.5 ounces!
Here are some pics for you to enjoy!
