The Paper Anniversary

On April 30th, 2012 we celebrated our one year wedding anniversary — YAY!

It’s been a magical year, to say the least. It’s amazing to me how right life can turn out. I’m one lucky lady and fall asleep each night so grateful for the blessings I have. We celebrated with the whole family: each other, L.L. and Domingo. Since it’s a bit like rolling the dice on going out to eat, we decided to stay in and order take out sushi. It was perfect — romantic, relaxing, delicious and special.

I got a lovely card, gorgeous flowers (with some of our wedding flowers!) and tickets to see Delta Spirit. This is exceptional because it’s the one band we both discovered together and love, together. My husband is the greatest and very creative, if you ask me. I’m not good with anniversaries, but he knew it was the one where it’s a paper gift. How remarkable is it that he printed out concert tickets on paper, as my gift!? (If you know me well, you know how “on the nose” that is for me.)

Pinch me! ‘Cause this magnificent life I lead, sure doesn’t feel real.
