Ok, ok, I’m a week late. What can I say? It’s hard to keep up these days. Really, I have no idea how people do it…exercise, work, take care of baby, clean house, shower, do anything personal…I’d love to know the secret!
I digress, onto Mother’s Day!
It was a pretty low key day, which was fine for a tired Momma. First, I received flowers from my delightful daughter (with a little help from Daddy with that one). Such beautiful flowers that came with the sweetest card I could have imagined. It stated, I was the best Mom and L.L. loved me with all her heart. Could you just die of the sweetness? Of course, Dad said he is going to have to have a talk with her about using his credit card. (I thought that one was pretty funny, and hope you do, too.)
Then, we went on a family outing to Heavenly Desserts, oh joy! You all know how I feel about desserts, so this was just what the doctor ordered (not really, but if I were a doctor it would be on the order list!). The hubs and I shared selections of a peanut butter square and a chocolate cake with Bailey’s Irish Cream filling. If that wasn’t enough, we washed it down with some outstanding tea. I just love a blood red tea, don’t you?
Next on the list is a card from my loving husband. He has a knack for finding some amazing cards, that I always save, and love displaying in the house. Not only did I get one from him, but also some friends & cousins. Such wonderful surprises and I will be sad when the time comes to take them off the fridge. I must say though, not all of them in the picture are for Mother’s Day, some are congratulations on the baby, but who cares! A card deserves to be displayed (as long as my husband will stand for it). This is where a little smily face should go, but I am trying really hard to abstain from using them in this blog.
And that’s that! It was a nice day and an even better weekend. We all had a good time, I even like to think that Domingo enjoyed it, too!
